Manage your tracking preferences

Analytics tracking is optional and off until you allow it. Change your choice any time.

1. Who we are

GiGGly is a product of Icibuy Financial Solutions, LLC (“IFS”), a financial tracking and earnings-optimization tool for gig workers, freelancers and independent contractors. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise a privacy right, contact us at support@gigglyapp.com.

2. Information you give us

We collect the information you enter or upload while using GiGGly:

  • Account details: email address, display name and password credentials (passwords are hashed by our authentication provider — we never see them).
  • Earnings data: shifts, platforms, hours, gross pay, tips, bonuses, fees and notes.
  • Expense and mileage data: amounts, categories, dates, trip purposes and locations you record.
  • Tax settings: filing status, state, mileage rate, set-aside rate and estimated extra expenses.
  • Goals, coach tasks and connection preferences for the gig platforms you track.
  • Imported statements: CSV or PDF files you upload are parsed into transactions; the resulting records are stored with your account.
  • Support messages: your name, email and message content when you contact us.

3. Information collected automatically

When you use GiGGly we collect limited technical information:

  • Device and browser type, screen size and operating system.
  • Log data such as pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps and error reports.
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address (country/region level) for security and fraud prevention.
  • Cookies and similar local storage used to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use two categories of cookies and local storage. Essential storage keeps you signed in, secures your session, and remembers your cookie choice — it cannot be turned off because the app will not function without it.

Analytics and product-usage tracking is optional. It helps us understand which features are used and where people get stuck, in aggregate. You can turn it on or off at any time, and we do not load analytics until you allow it.

We do not sell your data and we do not run cross-site advertising trackers. Free accounts may see in-app promotional placements, but these are served without sharing your financial data.

5. How we use your data

We use your information only to run and improve GiGGly:

  • Calculate earnings summaries, hourly and per-mile rates, Gig Scores, goal pace and coach plans.
  • Produce tax and savings estimates, mileage deductions and downloadable PDF reports.
  • Process subscriptions, manage billing status and prevent abuse of paid features.
  • Provide support, respond to your messages and investigate reported issues.
  • Detect fraud, secure accounts and comply with legal obligations.

6. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to operate GiGGly, and only what they need: our cloud database and authentication provider (data hosting and sign-in), our payment processor Stripe, engaged by our parent company Icibuy Financial Solutions, LLC (subscription billing — card details go to Stripe, never to us), and our email provider (support and account notices).

We may disclose information where legally required, or to protect the rights, safety and property of GiGGly and its users. If GiGGly is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We never sell your personal or financial data to third parties.

7. Estimates are not advice

Tax, savings and income figures shown in GiGGly are informational estimates based on the data you enter. They are not tax, legal or financial advice. Verify figures with a qualified professional before filing or making financial decisions.

8. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we must retain for legal, tax or accounting purposes (for example, billing records).

Backups may persist for a short period after deletion before being overwritten on their normal cycle.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your records is restricted at the database level so that only your account — and, where necessary for support, an authorized administrator — can read them. Administrative support access is logged.

No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong, unique password and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information — most of it is editable directly in the app.
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Export your data — earnings and reports can be downloaded as CSV or PDF from within GiGGly.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent for optional analytics at any time.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it for advertising.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children

GiGGly is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

12. International transfers

Our infrastructure providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for international transfers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as GiGGly evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. The date below shows the latest revision.
